Styles are not saved when saving a document

I set up bullet styles and save the document then close it. when I re-open it the bullets are gone. I tried making the document a template, but no change. I use Kubuntu 8.10 amd-64 and just upgraded OOo to 3.0

 So I open the document after closing it earlier. The list formating is all
missing again, no bullets at all. I open the Style and formating menu,
highlight "resume bullets" which is the style that I created. I set the
bullets graphically and closed the window. I then saved the document and
closed it. When this didn't work to save the styles I went to
file>templates>save and saved the file as a template. But when I try to
op[en the template, it opens with out the styles.

I tested this issue on official OOo 3.0.1 and could not reproduce it, but it happens on a current ooo-build-3-0-1 build.

If the problem persists, please mark this bug as "also affects project Libreoffice" or "also affects distribution Libreoffice (Ubuntu)" if that has not happened already.
