libreoffice for ubuntu is missing an important symlink required for libreoffice to run properly without crashing the required file must be patched by creating a symlink in the directory for the missing symlink in /root/.config/libreoffice/4/user/config/

when you do a fresh install of any ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS
do these commands then update/upgrade your system
for all the patches to take place.

run the commands to fix it yourself

ln -s /home/xubuntu/Desktop/libreoffice/javasettings_Linux_X86_64.xml /home/xubuntu/Desktop/libreoffice/javasettings_Linux_*.xml

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.
