Bug Description

LibreOffice has default keyboard shortcuts defined. In Ubuntu 20.04 and LibreOffice 6.4, it seems like some of those keyboard shortcuts are missing. Specifically I was looking for Alt-X (for LibreOffice in general, not only writer).

Alt-X is defined by default in a LibreOffice source compile.

These can be configured in LibreOffice tools -> customize - keyboard

I tried looking in launchpad's patches, but don't see anything that specifically strips it out, so I imagine it must be related to a compile flag. In previous versions, it seems to be specified in [/usr/lib/libreoffice]share/registry/main.xcd - from which it is now missing.

Thank you for your bug report, it's another config change in mail.xcd compared to Debian and could be similar to bug #1869561

I confirmed with Debian testing that they install LO 6.4.3, and that alt-x works in there. So what I see agrees with Sebastien.

There is good reason to believe that this will be fixed in 6.4.4 with Don't use main.xcd configured with --disable-gui (LP: #1869561)

I've verified that the Alt+X behavior is broken in 6.4.3-0ubuntu0.20.04.1 that is currently in the focal archive. And since I was testing 6.4.4~rc2-0ubuntu1~ppa1 to prepare for the 6.4.4 release, I went ahead and was able to easily check that indeed the Alt-X behavior works in 6.4.4. So stand by for the 6.4.4 release to get this fix.
