It appears you have an old version of libreoffice-sdbc-firebird installed (1:5.3.4-0ubuntu0.16.04.1~lo0.1, targetting xenial, from the LO fresh PPA).

The relevant error message is:

dpkg-maintscript-helper: error: file '/usr/share/doc/libreoffice-sdbc-firebird' not owned by package 'libreoffice-sdbc-firebird:amd64'
dpkg-maintscript-helper: error: directory '/usr/share/doc/libreoffice-sdbc-firebird' contains files not owned by package libreoffice-sdbc-firebird:amd64, cannot switch to symlink

Can you try the following, and let us know whether that resolves the issue?

    sudo apt purge libreoffice-sdbc-firebird
    sudo apt install libreoffice-sdbc-firebird

Many thanks.

This has fixed the problem.

(I am attempting to extract a lot of reluctant uses from Microsoft and the
last remaining issue not surprisingly is the Access database.)
