Bug Description
Error message: Access to /media/
It happens only in Vbox Shared Folders and only using Ubuntu 17.10, 18.04 and Ubuntu Mate 17.10, which might be related to the LibreOffice release 5.4.4.2 and 5.4.5.1 used. Other files like music, plain text documents and photos can be accessed normally.
I do not have the same problem in e.g the Virtual Machines Peppermint 8 or Linux Mint 18.3 with LibreOffice release 5.1.6.2. Nor in the VM Xubuntu 17.10 and MX17 Linux with LibreOffice release 6.0.1.1.

That looks similar to bug #1751005. Who is the owner of /media/sf_hp-data ?
Can you share the output of:
ls -la /media/sf_hp-data
