Even when connecting to Mir soffice doesn't start without an X server

Bug Description
Test scenario:
$ apt install miral-examples
$ miral-desktop
(in the miral session)
$ soffice
Expected: soffice starts
Actual: soffice hangs
But curiously:
$ miral-xrun soffice
Seems to work, and appears to connect to Mir (not Xmir)
