Bug Description

Environment: MacBook Pro internal HiDPI display, two external low dpi displays

SYMPTOM 1:
If LibreOffice is launched on the internal display, it may halt the computer

SYMPTOM 2:
If a new LibreOffice Writer window is launched on the low dpi display, it only draws in the upper left 25%.
Graphics in this state is fuzzy.

GETAROUND
a. LibreOffice in this state does not allow Window resize
1. Click on another window
2. Click back on the Writer Window
- Resize is now available
3. Resize the window at the bottom edge
- Writer redraws using the full area, graphics go sharp

Thank you for your bug report, that seems rather a gnome-shell issue though, whatever libreoffice is doing the desktop environment shouldn't stop working also rendering and resize are wm handled

affects: libreoffice (Ubuntu) → gnome-shell (Ubuntu)

Please verify whether you still experience this issue if you run LibreOffice in the regular GNOME session instead of the GNOME Wayland session.

The crash is probably fixed in mutter 3.23.3

This works as expected for GNOME 3.22/X
This does not work for GNOME 3.22/Wayland

Ok, the crash with multiple displays with Wayland may be fixed now:

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/3.22.2-2ubuntu1

If you're using the GNOME3 Staging PPA, I copied that fix there too now.

Could someone check whether this bug still exists with Ubuntu GNOME 17.04?

I am reassigning this to LibreOffice since Wayland issues like this usually need to be fixed in the app itself.
