Menu icons missing on snap package install

1. Ubuntu 16.04.1

3. On a clean install of Ubuntu 16.04.1, fully updated. After apt purging libreoffice, and snap installing libreoffice, I expected to have menu items with icons for each package within libreoffice.

4. I got menu items, which work, but have the generic application icon used when no application icon is specified (purple diamond with gears).

I get menu icons on Ubuntu 16.10, is this still occurring on Ubuntu 16.04?

I can confirm this. My system is Ubuntu 16.04.1.

I have installed libreoffice via

sudo snap install libreoffice

and I have no icons.

To be clear:

Ubuntu 16.04

I did:
sudo apt remove libreoffice*
sudo apt autoremove
sudo snap install libreoffice

I am using Ubuntu 16.04.2 and also don't have icons when installing Libre Office via snap.
Yes, there are icons, grey with a questionmark inside.
So I removed the snap and using .deb again.

When starting the Libre Office snap in the terminal, there are a lot of messages, that the icon is missing:

Bug: The app have no icons in the launcher, but? they appear inside the app when i have to choose the office tools im going to use (writer, calc...), the icons inside the file manager appears too.

Versions:
Ubuntu 16.04
Libreoffice 5.3.1.2
