Error exporting Libre Writer file to PDF

Bug Description

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Open Libre Writer and create a new document
2) Type something using the 'TheMix' font from
3) Export file as PDF.

Expected Results:
- The Libre Writer document should be identically reproduced in PDF format. Characters should be in the same place.

Actual Results:
- In the PDF file, some characters are shifted together. Other characters such as capital letters are replaced by question marks.

Confirmed with:
 * Ubuntu 15.04/libreoffice 1:4.4.1-0ubuntu1
Unconfirmed with:
 * 14.04/1:4.2.7-0ubuntu2
 * 15.10/1:5.0.1-0ubuntu1

Clon, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. Could you please advise which character(s) specifically are shifted?

As well, what program are you opening the PDF with?

Opening in Evince 3.14.2

PDF export from AbiWord 3.0.1 is correst.

Shifted characters are š č ř ž and ě (lesser).

I try also Word and LIbreOffice on Windows and there it's OK.

Clon, so far I'm not able to reproduce this in Vivid.

Hence, could you please provide a screenshot of your Writer PDF Options window at the General tab?

In Calc, Impress and Draw PDF has same errors.
Result is same when printing to PDF with cups-PDF (2.6.1-9)

Similar bug with same font on Windows 7 sp1 LibreOffice
Export from MS Word is OK.

Letters ě, č and ř (capitals too) are replaced with question mark.

This is not Lubuntu specific as far as I can tell, so I'm unsubscribing Lubuntu Packages Team.

Also, this only happens with that specific commerical font? Could it perhaps be an issue with the font itself?

Download archive with font ( ). Open it by double-click (in Gnome archive manager.)
Files from " Basic_CE_Plain_&_Bold/" (TMxCEB7.pfb/.pfb/.afm … ) copy to "/usr/local/share/fonts/myfont".

Clon, please attach the appropriate file untarred/uncompressed to this report (not link to some external site).
