Bug Description
After upgrading via apt-get to LO 4.4.0.3, attempting to print from any LO application freezes LO completely. I have to kill it in a terminal.
Printing/printer works fine, e. g. "print test page". Printing the same document from AbiWord works as well.

Hi,
that I reported
"This bug is currently filed against the "ubuntu-
package" may be an issue of your website. If I chose "I don't know which
packet", ubuntu-
Actually, it is a bug against the LO Package. I just downgraded to LO
4.3 via the LO .deb packages (not via ppa) and all is fine.
Kind regards,
Same is observed with 4.4.0.2 on vivid, so not caused reenabling by mergedlibs.

I found a hint in a linuxmint forum, sorry, couldn't reproduce the URL.
Uncomment the line PSLevel=0 in the file /etc/libreoffic
This fixed the problem for me, printing works now as it should.
(Ubuntu 14.04).

Libreoffice (LO) installed in my desktop (Kubuntu 14.04 64 bit, KDElibs 4.14.2, Qt 4.8.6, Kernel 3.16.0-28-generic, Processor AMD 64 dual core 4600+, 4GB Ram) after update to 4.4.0.3 crashed when printing either to PDF printer (CUPS), to a laser printer, or print to file with the LO menu.
In my Laptop (Kubuntu 14.04 64 bit, KDElibs 4.14.2, Qt 4.8.6, Kernel 3.13.0-45-generic, Processor Intel 4core i5 M450) LO had no problem printing after the upgrade to 4.4.0.3.
Initially I thought that would be a problem with CUPS in the desktop, as when printing to file selection of the print menu, it gave only the choice of printing to a PS file; the PDF file choice is gone.
Yesterday for some reason, in my desktop in LibreOffice I went to TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> PRINT and made sure the "Settings for printer" choice was selected, and made sure that I checked the box on "PDF as standard print job format"
This solved the crash and printing problem of Libreoffice in my desktop

But not for me.
Duplicate of bug fixed in 4.4.1~rc1 (coverity#705983 printing with ps hangs)?
Reseting profile didn't help.
I hope issue fixed in 88819.

Vasiliy: I guess you could try with 4.4.1 RC and if the problem is gone, close this as a duplicate of bug 88819.
Here you can get the RC http://

Vasiliy: If 4.4.1 (or a 4.5 build) doesn't help, please change status back to UNCONFIRMED.

In 4.4.1 rc1 problem seems to be gone.

Thanks for testing. Let's resolve this as a duplicate then.

This should be fixed in LibreOffice 4.4.1. LibreOffice 4.4.1~rc2 is currently available in the LibreOffice Fresh PPA, and the update will soon be pushed to vivid.

Libre Office working fine until upgrading to 4.4.0.3 through update manager. Now clicking print brings up a corrupted looking print dialog box and freezes L.O. until I do a "force quit" I tried complete uninstall and reinstall with same issue.
