Bug Description

LibreOffice Draw doesn't work if LibreOffice Impress is removed. Somewhat related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/313173 which was marked as a wontfix but this is more severe as Impress isn't currently marked as a dependency of Draw.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

I can't reproduce this on my machine (Running Utopic w/ LibreOffice 4.3).

With impress removed:
libreoffice --impress > Opens Writer (as a fallback apparently)
libreoffice --draw > opens Draw.

Please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:
apport-collect 1359304
When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs. This will gather information like the release and the exact installed packages.

Hm, thanks. I'm in Trusty (with proposed and backports enabled), newest version in my sources looks to be 4.2.4-0ubuntu2. I'll assume this has been fixed in 4.3 as I can easily replicate.

Confirmed I also see the behavior on Trusty.

Since it's been fixed in Utopic I'm marking it as such. This doesn't look like it would qualify for an SRU to 14.04.

It may still be fixed in 14.04 if a major release exception is granted for LibreOffice (and then we'll backport a major version back).
