rBot, thank you for taking the time to report this and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html and https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs . We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures .

At a minimum, we need:
1. The specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. The behavior you expected, and
3. The behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).

Thank you for your understanding.

DESCRIPTION:

1) Open a new blank document in Writer.
2) Attach various images via Insert > Image > From File, preferrably different formats including a EPS image. Options "Link to file" or "Preview" are always left OFF.
3) Go to File > Print ...
4) Note that the printing preview already shows the missing EPS, no matter if PDF or a physical printer is selected.
5) Prining result is same as printing preview - EPS is missing.

Please find attached:
- example.odt: example odt file.

- 4 images.* used in 2)
image.eps: PostScript document text conforming DSC level 3.0, type EPS, Level 2
image.jpg: JPEG image data, JFIF standard 1.01, comment: "Created with GIMP"
  image.png: PNG image data, 592 x 592, 8-bit/color RGBA, non-interlaced
  image.tif: TIFF image data, little-endian

- Screenshot1329660.png: Screenshot of 4)

- differentSystem.png: same file on different (windows) system. When opening the example.odt on a another system, all images but the EPS are visible directly in the document view. Meta information of the EPS is displayed instead.

Thank you,
Jörgen.
