Spontaneous loss of text selection when dragging cursor.

When I drag the cursor to select some text, the drag suddenly loses the text selection.

In a document, try selecting some text and, holding the mouse, move the cursor around. One sometimes loses his or her text selection!

It's very bothersome too.

also saying, this is with libreoffice 3.6.1~rc2-1ubuntu5, for me at least And the phenomenon is noticeable both with dragging and when attempting to select with the keyboard (using Shift-arrow keys). Also happens both under Unity and with metacity.

I also have this same bug. My libreoffice version is 3.6.1.2 (ID de compilación: 360m1(Build:2)). My Ubuntu version is 12.10 and my Desktop Environment is gnome 3.6.0. Thanks.
