pam authenticate

Bug #68361 reported by StuartYeates on 2006-10-26

libpam-openafs-session (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

Binary package hint: libpam-openafs-session

libpam-openafs-session current handles session creation just fine, but does not handle the almost important case when the user comes back to an already logged in session and unlocks the terminal some time later, when the authentication needs to be redone.

I've fixed with with the following file

It appears to work for me. I don't really know enough about PAM, krb5 or AFS to know whether this is a fix for everyone everywhere.

In particular, this situation tends to renew the AFS frequently, which may be an issue.

Further testing reveals that the above patch does not work. It appears there was a flaw in my testing, sorry.

I am no longer using the libpam-openafs-session package with ubuntu. I don't know whether the issue is still a problem.
