Bug Description

The file /usr/lib/libogg.la is missing in libogg-dev 1.1.4~dfsg-1, preventing compilation of certain libogg-dependent programs. This file was present in the previous version of libogg-dev.

I have attached a proposed debdiff that creates a separate -dev package for the la file, for legacy applications to use.

Confirmed. I tried to compile cinelerra, but it died because of the missing file.

The .la file was removed intentionally. You should use other methods of linking
instead.
