Cannot connect Android phone to Ubuntu 17.10

Bug Description

libmtp9 1.1.13-1 installed

Attaching Android phone brings up the Android mounted notification, shows the icon on the desktop but selecting the phone in Nautilus does not work (no files shown).

=> cant read/write files to/from Anddroid phones

The issue remains after a complete reinstall.
