Still the same with the latest live CD, I get an error "Unable to mount XT890 - Unable to open MTP device '[usb:002,006]'" for one device "Android 4" and no reaction at all for the other "Android 2.3". The latter at least worked in precise, so it is a regression.

I can only access an SD card in the Defy+ but not the internal memory

same here with Motorloa Razr I on ubuntu 14.04, unable to access phone storage.
In Thunar XT890 device appears, but when clicking on it: "Unable to mount XT890 - Unable to open MTP device '[usb:003,005]'."

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Changed in libmtp (Ubuntu):
status: New → Confirmed

### update ###
I turned on "USB debug" (in android developers settings) and I can now access SD card on my Razr I !!! yay :-)
But I can't access to internal memory (is it normal?)
