Current code still heavily favors GSM over CDMA to the point where CDMA support is broken.

Bug Description

(Ubuntu Jaunty. Network Manager 0.7.1rc)

Right now, if I plug in my Verizon LG VX8350 via USB, NM won't even manage the phone unless I configure it as a GSM modem in Mobile Broand Connection Wizard.

If I attempt the Bluetooth route, once again, NM won't detect properly unless I force the phone as CDMA in Blueman 1.0.

Both of these situations are quite enraging.

Could you please describe a little bit more how this is a m-b-p-i bug? And I'm not quite sure what you mean by the code favoring GSM over CDMA.

Anyway this is probably related to #290625
