Bug Description

Binary package hint: libhpricot-ruby

Using Xubuntu 9.04 alpha-6 on i386, I found libhpricot-ruby 0.8-1 doesn't find elements using XPath queries. Using version 0.8.1 of the hpricot gem solved the issue, so libhpricot-ruby 0.8.1-1 from Debian testing should also fix the problem.

I had been following up on a bug with Alexandria, and wrote this script to diagnose any issues with Hpricot: http://www.gnostai.org/tmp/hpricot_test.rb It should produce a long report of the contents of its embedded XML document, particularly ProductGroup sub-elements, but with 0.8-1 it reports "ProductGroup not found".

As of today, this issue with Alexandria remains unfixed. Pertinent information are given here: http://rubyforge.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=27168&group_id=205&atid=863 . I can confirm that currently I'm unable to use Alexandria to search for any book.

Any plans to upgrade this package for Karmic? The package exists for the Lucid developement. is it possible to put in the Karmic-proposed?
