Bug Description
This bug is not new. But I opening it because when I tried to reopen the bug which which people thought was fixed (but which still persisted for me), someone advised that I rather open a new one. The bug I'm referring to is https:/
This bug relates to the world clock applet in the gnome-panel which also shows weather when configured to do so.
Before 8.10 I could see the weather conditions of both manually added locations and locations which were already in the list (whether I was behind proxy or directly connected to internet). After upgrading to intripid only locations in the list worked I did nto get weather report for location which I manually added by inserting their name/longitude/
The reason I am opening this bug is that the clock applet is unable to show whether of manually added locations even when one is directly connected to the internet. This used to work fine in hardy both when directly connected to the internet and when connected from behind a proxy (which doesn't work any more, even for locations in the list).
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Lucid Lynx. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http:// www.ubuntu. com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your help.
