Bug Description
A few weeks ago my 2nd Gen Ipod classic 80Gb stopped being recognized by Rhythmbox, and would not mount.
When trying to mount the Ipod in Nautilus, the error message "Unable to mount location Internal error: no mount object for mounted volume" is given.
Neither Hipo nor gtkpod are able to recognize the ipod.
The Ipod is shown in the Computer folder, however.
Having tried various "fixes" on various websites, I have found that completely removing libgpod-common (while leaving libgpod4 installed) allows the Ipod to be mounted. Also, Rhythmbox is able to detect and import file info from the ipod, but the ipod doesn't show up as a separate device.
I am running Ubuntu 10.04
and have libgpod-common 0.8.0-1ubuntu1~
rhythmbox 0.12.8-0ubuntu7
Given that some functionality returns when I remove libgpod-common, this seems to indicate a bug.
