Bug Description

My camera gets mounted when plugged, I can see every file in it and import it, but I can't write on it. When I try I get a "-1: not specified error".
Additionally when trying to rotate an image through EOG no error message is shown but the image is gone from the camera, I can't retrieve it anymore.

uploading images to a Canon camera is usually not possible, and at most JPEG files can be uploaded.

I think the gvfs slave does not allow upload at all.

So I think you are out of luck for uploading data. (data could be uploaded to the card with a cardreader)

As the libgphoto2 project does not know the D10 yet, can you please attach
gphoto2 --summary

output?

ok done. I hope you can understand the info you need, most of the strings are localized :)
You say it's expected I can't write on the SD, well there's something that's probably not:
I just tried to rotate an image from EOG, saving it didn't throw any error but it's actually disappeared from the cam... WTF?

thanks!

this is really either an issue of either gvfs or eog now, which probably do not handle errors coming from GVFS.

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? Please have a look at http://www.ubuntu.com/download to know how to install that version. Thanks in advance and sorry for the late response.
