Bug Description

Since the 2.4.6 version shipped in Karmic, all these cameras are now supported (my Canon 7D is in this list...)

* Apple iPod Touch first generation
* Canon Digital IXUS 95 IS
* Canon Digital IXUS 100IS
* Canon Digital IXUS 110IS
* Canon EOS 7D
* Canon EOS 500D
* Canon PowerShot A580
* Canon PowerShot SD770 IS
* Canon PowerShot SD1200
* Canon Powershot SX200 IS
* Canon A1100 IS
* Canon SD780 IS
* Canon SD940 IS
* Canon G11
* Canon IXY 220 IS
* Fuji Finepix F200 EXR
* Fuji S5 Pro
* Kodak M863
* Kodak Z915
* Nikon CoolPix S220
* Nikon CoolPix S225
* Nikon DSLR D300s
* Nikon DSLR D3000
* Nikon DSLR D5000
* Sea & Sea 2G

Because gphoto is in userspace and not in the kernel, I don't see what problems could cause such an update. In the same time, many owners of new cameras will be happy to use it... (sorry for my really poor english).

It's a good thing to have the latest version in Lucid, but for now, it would be better to have a backport in Karmic...
