Bug Description
I'm having problems connecting my Lumia 930 phone (Windows phone 8.1) to Ubuntu Gnome 14.10. When plugging the USB cable, the device shows up on the desktop (there is a camera icon with the name of the phone), so it is to be detected correctly. Another user reported the same problem with Ubuntu 15.04.
I have also access to Xubuntu 14.04. The phone works fine with that.
This seems to be caused by a regression in the version 2.5.4 of libgphoto2 that is used in 14.10 and 15.04. (14.04 uses an older version that is not affected.) The regression is fixed in later versions of gphoto2, at least in 2.5.6 which I tested. There is a bug on the tracker for gphoto2, which is related:

It is originally about another problem, but at the end they discuss this same issue.
