Unabe to select png or svg icons from the custom icon chooser

Bug Description

When selecting custom icons in the launcher dialog, try browsing to
/usr/share/icons and notice that all of the .png and .svg files are greyed out.

Thanks for the bug report. Which version of Ubuntu do you use? Could you please
elaborate on what you are exactly doing? I don't exactly know how to reproduce
this. Thanks in advance.

seems to be the same issue than bug #19454, feel free to reopen if you have a
different issue
