Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-applets
The new GNOME keyboard map selector applet in 2.29 (which seems to have been converted into a Notification Area item since Karmic?) appears to be hard-coded to use black fonts, which makes it impossible to see what it says, on a theme with a dark GTK2 background color.

Have the same prob, changing the foreground color through gconf-editor does not work either.
Also, There seems to be no way of removing the indicator - what if I don't want the keyboard indicator at all?
