Bug Description

The latest GIT version of libgnomekbd contains this change, which is required for the latest gnome-control-center to build: http://git.gnome.org/cgit/libgnomekbd/commit/?id=3b40029262b0007db0d3cb07b0ef658a391063aa

libgnomekbd should be updated to the latest GIT snapshot, to not block the g-c-c update.

Urgh, libgnomekbd<x> depends on libgnomekbd-common (= ${source:Version}), meaning the libgnomekbd3 and libgnomekbd4 are not co-installable, making migration a real pain.

It means I can't install and test a package built against libgnomekbd4 until all dependencies on libgnomekbd3 have been migrated to the new version.

libgnomekbd-common isn't very version specific. So may I suggest to upload another libgnomekbd first which relaxes the dependency, and then this new version?

Intermediate upload to prepare soname transition and co-installability:

libgnomekbd (2.27.2-0ubuntu2) karmic; urgency=low

  * debian/control.in: Relax versioned dependency on -common, to make
    libgnomekbd{3,4} co-installable. See LP #399508.

After that built, I'll sponsor this one, and keep it in binary NEW until the relaxed libgnomekbd3 is published.

BTW, Chris, do you know about "bzr mv"? History would be a bit easier with

  bzr mv debian/libgnomekbdui3.install debian/libgnomekbdui4.install

instead of add/delete. Just a nitpick, though.
