Bug Description

Binary package hint: xournal

I have this problem on my X61t. I start xournal, maximize it and flip the screen. If I now start drawing small circles (2cm diameter) from top left to bottom right the resolution drops significantly from a very clean circle to a actual polygon.
However, when I insert a second page and draw on that it's all fine as does with pdf annotation.

System is a up-to-date Kubuntu 9.04

Could you post a screenshot? If you draw very slowly, is it more
accurate? I would contact the xournal developer directly and ask him to
take a look. Keep us informed if you do that, ubuntu merely re-packages
xournal from debian who merely packages it anyways.

This is actually amazing -- I started noticing this bug myself after a distribution update. It's an issue in libgnomecanvas (downgrading to old versions of libgnomecanvas fixes the bug). I've reported it at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=596322 a few days ago (no response yet).

Note that the slowdown only occurs if the vertical scrollbar is in its topmost position (if you scroll just a little bit down the page it won't happen anymore, at least on my system), and gets worse as you draw closer to the bottom-right corner of the window.
