Bug Description
Binary package hint: teg
TEG has an odd video glitch in Intrepid where some of the text/images appear to be shifted over slightly.
Minimizing the play window and Restoring it temporarily fixes things (until the next action is taken, either by the human or AI).
It worked fine in Hardy (with or without Compiz).
The Intrepid version has this bug, regardless if Compiz is on or not.
The Hardy DEB displays the bad behavior when run in Intrepid.
Thus I don't know if TEG itself is the proper package to report, but its the one showing the symptoms.

Just the symptoms actually! :-)
Some time after I filed this bug report, I enabled the intrepid-proposed repository; and I just a little while ago noticed that TEG was working properly, so I researched its dependencies and figured that it was one of three packages; I booted an Intrepid LiveCD to confirm the bug was present and then upgraded the most likely package and sure enough, that fixed the problem the next time I ran TEG in the Live environment.
The fix:
