After installing rubygems1.9.1, gem -v still reports old version

Bug Description

After installing rubygems1.9.1 package in Ubuntu 10.04, the gem -v command continues to report that it is at 1.3.5.

iraway@mead:~$ sudo apt-get install rubygems1.9.1

rubygems1.9.1 is already the newest version.

That version is no more supported; and no expecting backport as it only concern 'security' problem.
