Bug Description

libgdata no longer builds from source:
https://launchpadlibrarian.net/81619549/buildlog_ubuntu-oneiric-amd64.libgdata_0.9.1-0ubuntu2%7Eppa1_FAILEDTOBUILD.txt.gz

My only change was to have the -dev depend on the gir package (the build fails even without that change though)

I don't know if it will help you clarify the bug or not but I came across a similar bug in Arch Linux. After pinpointing the package upgrade which caused this I reached the conclusion it was because of gobject-introspection (upgrade from 0.10.8 to 1.30.0).

---------------
libgdata (0.9.1-0ubuntu2) oneiric; urgency=low

  * Add 00git_missing_symbols.patch: Add missing symbols to symbols file, to
fix FTBFS. Backported from upstream 0.10.0. (LP: #863901)
  * debian/control.in: Add gir dependency to the -dev, to comply with current
