Bug Description

Versions:
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu Focal Fossa (development branch)
Release: 20.04
Codename: focal
Linux 5.4.0-14-generic #17-Ubuntu SMP
fprintd 1.90.1-1
libgusb2 0.3.4-0ubuntu1

What happens:

fprintd.service Fingerprint Authentication Daemon, fails to load

journalctl -xe:
fprintd[10586]: /usr/libexec/fprintd: symbol lookup error: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libfprint-2.so.2: undefined symbol: g_usb_device_get_release, version LIBGUSB_0.1.0

Downgrading libgusb2 to 0.3.0-1 solves the problem.

What should happen:
fprintd.service not fail

Hi, I have just rebuilt from ubuntu source the package: libfprint-2-tod1
(new version 1:1.90.1+tod1-0ubuntu3)
and the problem has disappeared.

So I think it is just the actual package is not linked against
the correct library.

affects: fprintd (Ubuntu) → libfprint (Ubuntu)
