Bug Description

Hello
I have ubuntu 18.10 with 04F3:3057 finger print reader and I can't find my device in the fingerprint driver (libfprint) in it's latest version (0.99.0)

even lsusb doesn't show it

I've been working on reverse engineering these sensors and have a semi functional prototype at https://github.com/mincrmatt12/elan-spi-fingerprint and the mincrmatt12/elan-spi branch of https://github.com/mincrmatt12/libfprint.

The relevant libfprint issue is #136: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/libfprint/libfprint/-/issues/136

My reader Elan fingerprint 04f3:305 not detected with Ubuntu 20.04.

lsusb command shows no info on the touchpad / fingerprint reader:

The funny thing is that it is detected only by using win 10.

Drivers requests are upstream issues and as such should be redirected to the official wiki:

As per this, I'm closing all the requests, I please you to update that wiki page if needed.
