I am trying to play a DVD

Totem Movie Player 2.30.2 Movie Player using GStreamer 0.10.28 - cannot read resource
And I tried VLC that produces some messages

Hi,

if you try running VLC or Totem as root from terminal?
Sorry if this is a stupid idea :)

Bence, as a side note, VLC is not supposed to be run as root and fails if you try to do so.

Movie Player and many other Ubuntu DVD movie player programs appear to have inadequate decryption.
