nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in g_type_check_instance_cast()

The crash seems to occur whenever I try to switch from icon view to list view. When nautilus restarts, the directory is displayed in list view as I tried to.

had two tabs open and had just finished transferring files from the internal hd to an external disk. crash happened when i tried to close the left-hand tab.
