Bug Description
linux mint maya mate vlc malfunction
Vlc reported a failure when I tried to convert a video .flv file to an .mp3 file in order to strip the audio.
The message was: ffmpeg missed a mpegI/II layer 3.
Replaced libavcodec53 with libavcodec-extra-53 to solve the problem.
It was successfull.

FFmpeg did not provide libavcodec53 for Ubuntu, reassigning to the avconv project.
