Bug Description
Somewhere between 14.04 and 16.04 (probably release 1.51) the crc32
utility started printing extra material when invoked on a single file.
lilith[47]$ crc32 /tmp/foo-
f5af2f94 OK
lilith[48]$ /mnt/archive.
f5af2f94
Scripts that have been working for years to confirm that the named and
calculated file CRC32s are consistent break with this change in output.
There is no command-line option to control the new behavior, nor can I
find anywhere its addition was documented.
