Bug Description
Please sync lernid from upstream to the yakkety universe repository. bzr branch is lp:lernid. Upstream PPA is ppa:lernid-
lernid is in Universe. It is a native package and is not in Debian. I am the current maintainer.
This release allows a user to find all old classes on the schedule and to click to bring up the corresponding day's irc logs. It also notes that #ubuntu-classroom is inactive and it enables the removal of the python-webkit package from lernid's dependencies when that becomes necessary.
The corresponding build page is https:/
I've tested this package from the lernid-devs ppa in yakkety as well as trusty and xenial.

lernid (1.0.6~jsg2) xenial; urgency=medium
* New release set-up
* Merge pending translations
* Note that #ubuntu-classroom is inactive
* Remove the limitation that only sessions in the last six months are
listed in the schedule. This allows access to the irc logs of
previous sessions. The calendar is still scrolled to the current time.
Addresses lp: #1591343.
* Remove the strong dependency on python-webkit in upstream lernid.
If python-webkit is not installed lernid will now bring up the urls
mentioned in a new tab in the user's default browser.
As part of this change the web-chat option was removed.
