Bug Description

Binary package hint: ldtp

Upstream bug:

Please describe the problem:
Using the 1.1.0 version in Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10.

When running any python LDTP script the LDTP server returns a 'Server
disconnected' error.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Get debsource from
2. Build the debian package. (you will need to remove libgail-dev first from
the debian/control file, that it is no longer needed)
3. Install ldtp and python-ldtp packages
4. Try to run any of the python scripts that you might have
5. The server always returns "Server disconnected" error.

Actual results:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "", line 12, in <module>
    selectmenuitem ("frmTopExpandedEdgePanel", "mnuCalculator")
File "/var/lib/python-support/python2.5/", line 816, in selectmenuitem
    _responseStatus, _responseData = getresponse (_requestId)
File "/var/lib/python-support/python2.5/", line 202, in getresponse
    raise LdtpExecutionError ('Server disconnected')
ldtplib.ldtplibutils.LdtpExecutionError: 'Server disconnected'

Does this happen every time?
