Bug Description

Binary package hint: latex-beamer

There are six AppleDouble files present in this package:

/usr/share/doc/latex-beamer/examples/a-lecture/._beamerexample-lecture-pic1.jpg
/usr/share/doc/latex-beamer/examples/a-lecture/._beamerexample-lecture-pic2.jpg
/usr/share/doc/latex-beamer/examples/a-lecture/._beamerexample-lecture-pic3.jpg
/usr/share/doc/latex-beamer/examples/a-lecture/._beamerexample-lecture-pic4.jpg
/usr/share/doc/latex-beamer/examples/a-lecture/._beamerexample-lecture-pic5.jpg
/usr/share/doc/latex-beamer/examples/a-lecture/._beamerexample-lecture-pic6.jpg

These files can also be found in the (Debian) upstream and should be safely deleted.

could you provide more information please? When I install latex-beamer I don't see the "._" before those files. Besides, I don't see duplicated files so why are you suggesting to delete them?

You don't see it because they're hidden by default: https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Hidden_files#Unix_and_Unix-like_environments

Also, this apparently was fixed upstream (version 3.10-1) and it's set for release on Ubuntu 11.10, so I'll mark this bug as fixed.

Changed in latex-beamer (Ubuntu):
status: New → Fix Released
