crash when clicking cancel on set password dialog

Bug Description

Binary package hint: lat

Clicking the Cancel button on the "Set Password" dialog box for a user causes the application to crash with the following error:

Running Ubuntu 8.04. Lat package version is 1.2.3-1.

Cannot reproduce this crash in Ubuntu 14.04 development with lat 1.2.4-1.
