Bug Description

Binary package hint: lastfmsubmitd

I believe this is an issue with lastfmsubmitd, but it MIGHT be with lastmp?

lastfmsubmitd doesn't create /var/run/lastfm (755, lastfm:lastfm or whatever is specified for a group in the debconf setup - a guess)

Ubuntu Server 8.04.1

Order to reproduce:
Installed mpd / mpc / etc
Installed lastfmsubmitd, configured with default options, (group - lastfm)
installed lastmp

On /etc/init.d/lastmp start - it tosses an error about not being able to write to /var/run/lastfm/ - I belive this even came up during the initial setup process.

I ended up with multiple instances of lastmp running - causing duplicate submissions to lastfm - during my debugging process.
Eventually, I created a directory /var/run/lastfm - 755 lastfm:lastfm - this seems to work

After restarting lastfmsubmitd, i saw that this also created a .pid file in the same directory - hence my belief that this bug belongs to lastfmsubmitd itself and not lastmp, where I first saw it.

When I create the /var/run/lastfm directory so the lastfmsubmitd.pid file can be created the directory disappears on next boot. It doesn't matter if I chown lastfm:lastfm /var/run/lastfm

Is there some workaround for this?
