Bug Description

Binary package hint: language-pack-kde-de

is i install an languagepack (even by the fresh, first install of the system) i must go and install by myself the package aspell-$LANG (here aspell-de). i do not understand why the kubuntu languagepacks dont install the aspell dictionaries by himself. in ubuntu i have after the install my working spellchecker. it would be cool if someone can change this situation and add an dependency to this package.

I cannot confirm this in the latest Kubuntu Precise Beta in VirtualBox for German anymore. But I'm not so sure. That's why I assign this bug to Ubuntu Translators so they can confirm this or not.

Thanks.

I still had this bug in Kubuntu 13.04.

Even though I have chosen my language at installation, I had to install language-pack-kde-de and aspell-de manually to setup proper spell-checking.

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Changed in language-pack-kde-de (Ubuntu):

Additionally to get proper spell-checking in libreoffice the "hunspell-" language package must be installed, which is also missing after installation.
