Bug Description

The "Detect" word is translated incorrectly with CHN simplified character from resolution dialog in Ubuntu 8.04.
expect translated result: 探测显示(detect display)
expect translated result: 删除显示(delete display)

not sure what locale chn is but that's a translation issue so reassigning to language-pack-gnome-zh, should be changed if that's not the correctly locale

There's really something wrong with the phrase "detect displays" and I've changed translation. Thank you for offering the suggestion. The new translation is "检测显示器"

Simplified Chinese translation of "Detect displays" has been changed from "删除显示" to "检测显示器" in gnome-control-center 2.0

Could you confirm which package the translation entry belongs to?

Launch the program,look for the executable file path from progress list, then use "dpkg -S" to query its package.

This was assigned to gnome-control-center because that patch that was added on to support that dialog was likely not translated yet
