Hebrew translation confusing for replace file question

Bug Description

In gnome (for example, in evince), when I save a file trying to overwrite an existing file, the program first asks whether I really want to replace the file. In Hebrew this is translated incorrectly, as if it was asking if I wanted to rename the file, and not replacing it (שנה שם) instead of (החלף).

This is very confusing.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a pdf file in evince.
2. Save a copy twice with the same name.

Regards,
Haggai Eran

If someone could point me to the appropriate string's package I would be able to fix this.

Haggai: in what version of Ubuntu does this happen to you?

Yaniv: This should be a string in gtk+. For example, for Feisty i think it should be in https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/feisty/+source/gtk+2.0/+pots/gtk20 . It is also better to check if the bug is present upstream and correct it there if it is.

It happens in feisty.

evince: 0.8.1-0ubuntu1
language-pack-gnome-he-base: 1:7.04+20070412
libgnome2-0: 2.18.0-0ubuntu1
libgtk2.0-0: 2.10.11-0ubuntu3

Hope this helps.

It still happens in interpid

This is quite a serious bug - it can cause accidental data loss

the string comes from rosetta, here: https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/hardy/+source/gtk+2.0/+pots/gtk20/he/331/+translate

i fixed it (on hardy and intrepid).
it's very strange, it was fixed a long time ago in gtk upstrem translation. i wonder why it wasn't updated on launchpad.
