Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

my network manager applet mysteriously has an error in the notification dialog. the notification dialog says:

connection stablished
it is not connected to the wireless network 'xxx'

it should say:

it is connected to the wireless network 'xxx'

at least this happends in gnome in spanish. i don't know if in any other language happends. i will add an attachment of the bug in the next message.

Answer founded!

a bad translation from daniel fuertes perez is the cause of this bug. translations number 190 and 191 are bad translated.

This is the image of the error in nm-applet

Hay un error en el applet de network manager, cuando se establece una conexion a una red inalambrica aparece:

conexión establecida
no está conectado a la red inalámbrica 'xxx'

debería de decir:

está conectado a la red inalámbrica 'xxx'

esto me aparecio en mi gnome en español, no puedo confirmar si sucede en algun otro idioma. adjunte una imagen del error/bug.

I can confirm this bug. It's a translation error. (From English to Spanish). I researched for other languages and the error doesn't appear.

I use Ubuntu Edgy.

What happened with spanish translation QA?

This problem is related only to bad translations. These errors are based on Dapper translation: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/dapper/+source/network-manager/+pots/networkmanager/es/190/+translate https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/dapper/+source/network-manager/+pots/networkmanager/es/191/+translate https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/dapper/+source/network-manager/+pots/networkmanager/es/193/+translate

For spanish Ubuntu users these bugs are weird (Ubuntu does something and translation says another thing!)

I can't understand how we are using a bad Dapper translation if we know that Edgy has fixed this problems (I'm using Edgy up to date).

Someone can fix this behaviour soon?

Greetings!

Those strings were reviewed by Carlos on 23-11-2006. Could you confirm whether this is already fixed with the latest lang-pack updates?
