This bug is a duplicate of bug #238755, which is not yet fixed for hardy.

Don't think that's the issue. I did not receive any message for file
system full, nor can I find anything pointing to that in
/var/log/messages*.
In which logs did you find that reference?

MainLog made a lot of references to free space just before the error, so I thought maybe that had something to do with it. I didn't see the one Andreas referenced, but I didn't look through all of the logs. The timeout issue is fairly common.
