Bug Description
Binary package hint: kvm
Ubuntu hardy heron 8.04 amd64
kvm:
Installed: (none)
Candidate: 1:62+dfsg-0ubuntu7
Version table:
1:
500 http://
100 /var/lib/
I tried to purge kvm:
$ sudo aptitude purge kvm
The problem was that it didn't remove the conf files:
/etc/udev/
/etc/kvm/utils/kvm
/etc/kvm/kvm-ifup
/etc/init.d/kvm
Looks like the postrm command "update-rc.d kvm remove" did not work

I can confirm this issue. Just as the bug report says it appears the uninstall script didn't run correctly and left the files behind.
This report should be straight forward enough for the developers to take a look at it.
Thank you for the bug report
