Bug Description
Running Kupfer in a LXDE session served within a Crouton chroot.
It seems to have entered a defunct state (without any special events having taken place) and it is impossible to kill.
Normally you could work around this, but unfortunately because of the way Kupfer forces itself into a 'splash' foreground overlay on all desktop ports, it actually causes its box to appear over everything else which is impossible to remove and hence forces you to restart the desktop session from scratch.
A window manager restart (openbox --restart) is not enough, it just repaints the same box as a light grey overlay instead.
kill -9 cannot kill the process and it continues to be reported in ps like this which I think means it's waiting on file io and is a zombie process...

After about 15 minutes the process finally came back to life and accepted the SIGKILL. No idea why.
