Bug Description

I'm using a Toshiba Satellite laptop. When selecting "logout" on the live CD there is no hibernate feature. As far as I remember the "breezy" release had such a hibernate feature. Where has it gone?

I can confirm that there is no hibernate option when trying to logout in the LiveCD.

I can supply that there is no hibernate option in the harddisk install either. Gnome has TWO types of hibernate options (sleep/hibernate) which could both be very usefull on kubuntu too.

As a workaround, this feature is actually in klaptopdaemon, in the kicker, but you have to enable it.

However, klaptopdaemon is quite buggy, and kpowersave in dapper works a lot better.

In edgy, the powersave stuff is being rewritten - hopefully we'll see good hibernating/suspending things then.
